GeoEnergy Enterprises, LLC (GEE) is a Delaware company with corporate, manufacturing and sales offices located in New York and engineering offices located in Tennessee. GEE has developed and patented an improved generation of high efficiency Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems which serve as its primary product lines. These systems are distinguished by its shallow well, hybrid geothermal HVAC system marketed under the GeoColumn name, winner of Popular Science's Best of What's New Award and Hanley-Wood Publishers Top 100 Products.
Founders
Mr. John Genung, Chairman is a recognized expert in HVAC systems. Genung has been involved in two previous national start-up companies in the technology field; first as President of ANFLOW, Inc., a U.S.D.O.E. technology transfer company from Oak Ridge National Labs and as Director of Engineering for ProBac International. John Genung has been involved with technology companies that sought mergers or acquisitions as growth and investment strategies and was also recently Chief Energy Officer at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
Shawn Genung, CTO is also GEE’s Director of Engineering and Research & Development and played a key role in the design and implementation of the GeoColumn. He works extensively with Oak Ridge National Labs in both the Engineering Division and the Department of Technology Transfer and Economic Development where he served as a Strategy and Business Development advisor. Shawn Genung has also consulted as a business and technical analyst with such companies Eastman Chemical Co. and Sun Coke.
Mr. Tony Penachio, President has been involved with the direct exchange technology for well over a decade. He was a Founder and the Chairman of Envirotherm Heating and Cooling, Inc. a manufacturer and distributor of direct exchange geothermal heating and cooling products nationally. With over 30 years practical business experience as an owner, officer or director of various business enterprises Penachio is currently involved in the GEE’s business development and demonstration projects.
